Walking around the Cambridge area

Cambridgeshire is a fabulous place for walking. Not too many hills, but plenty of lovely countryside and lots of small villages to visit.

Or, try some of the town walks available around cambridge! Take a look at www.shapewalks.net. A range of town walks with themes is available, with interactive maps and gems of local knowledge.

We welcome walkers and will try to accommodate your needs. We have a separate area for storing outdoor clothing and footwear. Boot scrapers and a water hose for cleaning boots are available should you need them.

Cycling around the Cambridge area

Cyclists are very welcome at Beech farm. If you bring your own bikes, we have secure storage area for you to use. We have puncture repair kits if the unthinkable happens!

You can also hire a cycle when you get to Cambridge. If you arrive by train, you can collect from www.stationcycles.co.uk.

You can also hire cycles from the city centre www.citycyclehire.com.

We have the cambridge Cycle Booklet available, this contains detailed cycle routes to cambridge and 7 other cycle routes out to nearby villages.

The annual London to Cambridge cycle ride takes place each year in July. See www.bike-events.com for more details.

If you are Walking or Cycling please let us know when booking so we can be prepared!
